Behind the silence (2006)
Presentazione
Concluso un esaltante 2004 vissuto all’insegna delle tante performance live e dopo il fantastico concerto del 5 marzo 2005 a “La Tasca” di Olginate (Lecco), la band capisce che è giunto il momento di raccogliere i frutti di questa prima fase della nuova versione dei Drivhell con la pubblicazione di un nuovo cd.
La strada che conduce all’ingresso della sala di incisione, però, è ancora lunga, soprattutto perché il gruppo sembra non avere le idee chiare sulla strada maestra da percorrere; si prova e si riprova, ma i tempi di dilatano inspiegabilmente, sale il nervosismo, ci sono problemi interni da appianare.
Si fa un primo tentativo ufficiale di partenza verso Natale 2005, ma solo tra gennaio e febbraio 2006 la band entra definitivamente in studio e, passo dopo passo, strumento dopo strumento, conclude le registrazioni a fine ottobre 2006.
Nel frattempo viene deciso il titolo dell’album: si chiamerà Behind the silence, esattamente con una canzone del cd e primo vero pezzo composto interamente dai Drivhell – II versione.
Behind the silence contiene sei tracce: oltre appunto alla strutturata e complessa Behind the silence, anche la potente Sorrow, la “cattiva” Nobody knows, la dolce ballata Some sweet words …
A questi pezzi si aggiungono anche la strumentale Mind dishrag, opera del tastierista De Vittorio e arrangiata completamente dai Drivhell e il vero singolo ufficiale dell’album Your God is Mine, di cui è stato girato un video musicale nel luglio 2006 in un bosco della Brianza in collaborazione con il regista Marco Magni.
